The Great Wall of China is one of UNESCO‘s World Heritage Sites, one of the 7 wonders of the world and on the top of my bucket list. So, when planning this trip, I had to go all out and make it a memorable experience. Thanks to the recommendation give by my Instagram friend, Rachel, from Rachel Meets China, I was able to accomplish making my Great Wall experience magical.

I knew I wanted really good photos, so I hired photographer Xiaowei from @greatwallmylove. He is based in Beijing and knows everything there is to know about the Great Wall.

His tours, or what I like to call Experiences, consists of a private car ride to and from the Great Wall, expert tour guide about the Great Wall delivered by Xiaowei himself, unlimited photos during the tour, a sunset picnic that is prepared for you upon your arrival at one of the tour’s scenic destination spots, food prepared homemade by Xiaowei’s wife, champagne, wine and sparkling water (you can customize the food based on your dietary needs) and an option for private or a small group tour no more than 5 people.

I decided to do the small group tour, because I wanted to meet other people and make new friends! Although there were people with me, It still felt like a private tour, because there were only 5 of us! Xiaowei was able to interact and photograph each of us separately or together very easily without one of us feeling left out. Plus, the views on the Great Wall pretty much distracted you while waiting to take your photo with Xiaowei anyways! Just see the photos below for yourself!
